Britney Spears, Britney Who?

Contradiction happens anywhere. A person could say one thing, but act the opposite of it. A clearer illustration would be showbiz personalities. For a moment, you could be America's sweetheart and the next day, you could be the worst person around. Britney Spears is one of those characters. She used to be one of show biz's wonder child but not she is being dissed by almost all sectors in society. She is a pop icon turned laughing stock of the industry.

Britney Jean Spears was born in Mississippi on 2 December 1981 but was raised in Lousiana to a devoted Baptist family. They lived a pretty simple middle class life. Her dad was a building contractor and her mom is a school teacher. She has two sibling, a boy and a girl. As a young girl, Britney was fairly active in school with gymnastics.

The talent didn't stop at being a gymnast. Soon she discovered that she has the aptitude in dancing and in acting. Acting in school plays began as a routine for her. But in the process she also improved herself. Thinking that she was ready to make it big time, she auditioned for Disney Channel's The New Mickey Mouse Club, but she was too young back then.

As it turned out, her luck is not in acting. Rather it is in singing where she finally would hit the gold. In 1998, she released her solo album entitled "Hit Me Baby One More Time." The album gained instant popularity. It was greatly received throughout the world. Another hit followed with the release of Oops! I Did It Again album, and many more to follow. Britney's image used to be a sweet teenage kid. It was only upon the release of the Greatest Hits: My Prerogative that her image began to change. A more open minded and daring Britney graced the music industry.

Like many other entertainers, success in the entertainment industry does not necessarily translate into success at the personal side of things. Britney used to date Justin Timberlake. When the two broke up, it was rumored that Britney was the unfaithful one in their relationship.After the Justin episode, she married a childhood friend in Jason Allen Alexander for only about 55 hours in a drive-in ceremony in Las Vegas.

A monumental event happened in Britney's life. This was when she tied the knot with a former back up dancer in Kevin Federline. Together, the couple have two little boys. Britney thought it was the real thing going on between the two of them. Little did she know, Federline was only using her. In fact, she financed the launch of Kevin's failed music career. She was K-Fed's milking pot. After almost three years of marriage, the two decided to have a divorce, which this writer thinks is truly good for Britney.

Many critics say that it was K-Fed who destroyed the budding career of Britney. She became a common fixture in Hollywood night clubs, partying all night with the likes of Paris Hilton, Nicole Richie, and Lindsey Lohan to mention a few. This was just the beginning. Soon she got herself in and out of rehab.

Suddenly, everything looked like a distant past already. Britney isn't the prototypical sweet girl she once was. In fact, she already has haters. Many people say its all over for her. But hope still exists, especially with the recent MTV's VMA Awards where she'll perform before launching her newest album.

The question that remains to be seen is will she still be accepted by the people who once loved her and dissed her after sometime? There's no definite answer for that. Hopefully she could rise up from where she is standing at the moment.

Lindsey Lohan: A Puzzled Teenager

Life is simple yet complex at the same time. It has its share of ups and lows. It does not take into consideration one's status in society. This is the reason why a great number of individuals say that life is hard, cruel, and the like. Take for example Lindsey Lohan. Though she got a great career in Hollywood's big screen, she is badly beaten by real life troubles that come her way.

Born in New York City on the 2nd of July 1986, Lindsey Lohan is the eldest among the four children of Micheal Lohan, a former actor, and Dina Sullivan, a former Wall Street analyst. Since both parents are working professionals, Lindsey grew up in an affluent middle class family. They moved back and forth from Los Angeles and New York City.

Lindsey began her career as a model for Toys R Us at the age of three. Calvin Klein kids and Abercrombie kids followed suit. Then she also appeared in magazines, such as Vogue, Elle, Bliss, and the like. She was the face of childhood in her early years.

Lindsey's first attempt at the big screen wasn't an instant hit. She was noticed in the remake of Parent Trap when she played two roles that reunites their separated parents. But her real break out movie is in Mean Girls, where she played the leading role. She was portrayed as the daughter of two scientists residing in Africa. She moved back to the United States without any background in the schooling system, since she was home-schooled ever since she was a little girl.
Adjusting to the environment, she blended well with adversaries and friends. More movies followed soon.

Success came at a price for Lindsey. She lost the formative years an ordinary teenager experiences. She was already somebody then. She grew up fast. The consequences are now coming out one by one. She was caught driving under the influence (DUI) for more than a couple of times now. The worst came when she was caught with illegal drugs.

Lindsey, underneath all her accolades and Hollywood stature, is a good person. She just needs a little direction. Maybe her elders were too busy basking at the grace of the economic benefits that this young lady brought to them. Lindsey Lohan is a little bit confused inside.

San Antonio Spurs' Eva Longoria

Watching the beloved Spurs live at The Alamodome in San Antonio gives you a double treat, with the live basketball action and the pretty face sitting behind the home team bench. This pretty face have been a fixture at the Spurs games since 2006. She is no other than Desperate Housewives' Eva Longoria, the wife of the Spurs French point guard and recent NBA Finals Most Valuable Player (MVP) Tony Parker.

Eva Longoria was never like other mainstream female celebrities who made it big in show business. She did not have any relatives or close knit people in the industry. She made it on sheer luck, by giving it a shot in a talent contest that led her to Los Angeles and Hollywood of course, from obscurity to popularity. Two words which seem far opposites and irreconcilable but are trademarks in Eva's career.

Eva Longoria and her three siblings grew up as farm girls in Corpus Christi, Texas. She was raised by her parents Enrique Longoria, Jr. and Ella Eva Miriles, in their family owned farm land that was passed on by the previous generation. Eva lived the life of a county girl, studying in the public schools in the area from elementary up to high school. They were not well off since the farm does not earn much money. Longoria's college years was also spent in the Lonestar Star State at the Texas A & M University - Kingsville. She graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology.

After graduation, she joined the beauty pageant in her home county, Nueces, and became their borough's representative. She was then known as Miss Corpus Christi, USA in 1998. This was the beginning of her showbiz career. Soon she joined a talent contest that brought her to Hollywood.

Her first television appearance was in the year 2000, where she became a guest in one of Beverly Hills 90210 episodes. Since then, she had a lot of TV Series appearances such as The Young and The Restless, The Talent Agency, and Dragnet, just to mention a few. She was also in the movies The Sentinel and The Harsh Times. It is in the series Desperate Housewives where she made it real big, playing the character of Gabrielle Solis.

On the personal level, Longoria had her share of disappointments with her love affair. First she was married to Actor Tyler Christopher for almost two years, from 2002-2004. She got her divorce papers. She was also linked to the likes of Sean Farris, JC Chasez of N'Sync, and the writer Milan Garcanin.

Eva finally settled down with the Frenchman diminutive baller -of course by NBA Standards, standing at 6'2", in Tony Parker. They admitted the relationship in public just around last year. The two got married in Paris last 6 July 2oo7. It was a fitting victory for the couple, with the Spurs getting the NBA Finals trophy via a four game sweep of the LeBron James-led Cleveland Cavaliers, Tony getting the MVP award, and Eva looking for another successful season of Desperate Housewives.

Showbiz has a lot of beauties to offer its millions of followers. Some fans like young beautiful girls, others prefer single or married middle age beauties, and a few like older beauties. Upon knowing her real father, who turned out to be Aerosmith's lead singer in Steven Tyler, she changed her name from Liv Rundgren to Liv Rundgren Tyler.

Her way to showbiz stardom happened by accident. She was, at first, a model by profession at the young age of 14. She was already hot, sexy, and sultry with a towering body standing 5'10" at such an early age. Having not liked the modeling industry, she shifted to acting. It was in acting profession that Liv made a living. Some of her films include Armageddon, Lord of the Rings trilogy, and Jersey Girl among others.

With regards to her personal life, the sexy actress was once dating actor Joaquin Phoenix in the latter part of the 90s. They could have been a hot couple, but instead their relationship went for naught. At the dawn of the new millennium, she found a new lover in Royston Langdon, a British Musician member of the band Spacehog. They tied the knot last March 2003. Approximately after a year and a half later, Mrs. Tyler-Langdon gave birth to a son. The couple named the baby Milo William Langdon.

Though Live Tyler is already a mom, she doesn't look like it. In fact, she looks like she belonged to the early 20s - the age bracket between 20 to 25 years old. She is still the same hot and sexy looking woman who was once the crush of millions of Americans and her fans throughout the world. And you might wonder what is her secret in keeping her vitality? Its simple though. She doesn't smoke and she is a true vegetarian in her diet. Quite a discipline to keep up especially for a popular Hollywood personality.

Many of her accolades really point out that she is a hot and sexy actress. In 1997, People Magazine - one of the leading magazines in the United States - included Liv Tyler in the list of 50 Most Beautiful Woman in the World. The Australian Empire Magazine also voted her as the 6th Sexiest Female Movie Star last September 2002. Indeed, Liv Tyler is bringing sexy back. She is one of the decent actresses that you could truly classify in the hot and sexy category of Hollywood. She still looks beautiful at 30 years old.
